Queensland’s Southern Outback covers almost 320,000 km² of beautiful western landscapes along the Queensland-New South Wales border. Cross the Great Dividing Range and just keep travelling west. Your journey will take you through the cotton and wheat fields around St George through cattle and sheep country to the red sandy desert on the border with South Australia. The area is crossed by major highways travelling North-South and East-West so wherever you are coming from or going to, you can enjoy the wonders of Queensland’s Southern Outback.

All of the major towns are serviced by Rex Regional Express Airlines and generally have two flights per week.
QantasLink services Roma and Charleville. Several flights a day are available to Roma via QantasLink. Car rental is available at the Charleville and Roma Airports.
